About Nina Lytton
An IT industry analyst for more than 20 years, Open Systems Advisors President Nina Lytton is a confidential strategic advisor to vendors, customers, and venture capitalists.
One of the first advocates of open systems, Nina focuses on the buyer's right and responsibility to choose a technology combination that works for business.
Nina describes her thinking as "bizno-tech". Through her research and consulting, Nina has interviewed almost 10,000 business leaders and IT executives, crystallizing challenges and opportunities, and documenting technology's ability to deliver on its promise for business. For more than a decade, her team identified the best newly proven technology solutions to pivotal business challenges through the Crossroads A-List Award program.
Prior to founding Open Systems Advisors in 1989, Nina spent four years with The Yankee Group. Her research focused on automating the flow of information and materials through the industrial value chain. Nina worked in product management for a software firm during the PC boom back in the 1980s. She began her career on Wall Street.
Nina Lytton holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Princeton University and an MBA from MIT.
Nina serves on the board of directors of Hawaii Nui Brewing LLC.
